Tadhg’s Journal extract:
I’m reading a fantastic book, all about cosmic allurement. I know it sounds intriguing, yes? GoodReads writes: Communicating his ideas in the form of a classical dialogue between a youth and a wise elder, cosmologist Brian Swimme crafts a fascinating exploration into the creativity suffusing the universe.
His explication of the fundamental powers of the cosmos is mystical and ecstatic and points directly to the need to activate one’s own creative powers. read it.
His book is ‘The Universe Is a Green Dragon: A Cosmic Creation Story’. I couldn’t put it down -hence the candles last evening. It’s about connectedness, self-awareness as an expression of universal awareness, and is a deep, challenging, and intriguing read. Go on, treat yourself.
The weather’s changing, and typical September weather seems to be the order of the day. But, when I awoke this morning, I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the area where I live, when in London. Be it ever so humble, there’s no place like home.
And then this morning, my usual trip to the Magic Café. And more book reading, and lots of coffee, and one of those swirly, pastries that resemble one of Princess Leia’s side hair-do.
This is a scene from the café. It’s time to pause and to think of all family and friends, especially those at some distance. And, to send up a brief Nehemiah ‘arrow prayer’ for those suffering at this time. If that’s you, rest assured, albeit in a general way, I prayed for you this morning, knowing that the Source of All is in control and is, indeed, blessing you.
And, then I answered some emails. I was pleasantly surprised that over 38 people responded to my ‘Let me find a Celtic name for you’ offer. I also had three emails from Druid friends and from some Celtic Christian friends: one asking me a question or two, and two of them sharing some interesting events they’ve arranged to celebrate the upcoming Autumn Equinox. One of the things I like about the internet is the ease with which you can contact people and the ease of access to all kinds of people. Some of you may know I’m an amateur astronomer – I love the stars – and, would you believe, I was emailing and getting replies, last week, from a NASA scientist about exo-planets. How about that?
And, then it was back to reading, ‘The Universe Is A Green Dragon.
